Moved from China and graduated from Oulu Business School for an MBA degree in 2012, Zara has been developing her career in Oulu since. On top of that, she will also share her viewpoints on some career myths we've often been told.
An Englishman who has been living in Finland since 2002 when he came to work for Filtronic as a Project Manager. Prior to that he had worked for 6 years with Nokia. So far, all very normal! At the end of 2008, he was made redundant and everything changed. At the same time as welcoming his first child, he started a company importing electric scooters into Finland. Arguably a few years ahead of the market, the business didn’t survive, but Ian learnt many valuable lessons. In 2014, he went back to school to study for his Masters degree in Industrial Management. Ian is now running his second company helping Finnish health tech companies internationalise to the UK National Health Service. Ian is also a dog musher, musician, woodworker, triathlete and child taxi service.
Ian lives with his wife, 3 kids and 8 dogs and life in Oulu is busy, but fantastic!
